Mobility Assist Discount
Consumers who lease or purchase a new INFINITI through a retailer who is participating in the program can receive reimbursement of up to $1,000 from the manufacturer for the installation of its Mobility Assist feature. In order to be eligible for this discount, the consumer must have Mobility Assist installed by an installer who is registered with NMEDA or NHTSA within six months.
What is INFINITI Mobility Assist
INFINITI Mobility Assist is a program that is designed to support the varied mobility needs of consumers with physical disabilities. For a limited time, INFINITI is offering reimbursement of up to $1,000 for certain types of mobility assistance products that are installed in vehicles that are eligible for this program.
Documentation Needed
Once the proper documentation has been gathered, the consumer must submit it via email or fax within 90 days after installation. The following documentation is required:
- INFINITI Mobility Form found online
- vehicle sale or purchase agreement
- proof of customer payment or receipt for the installation of the equipment and the cost of the equipment
- medical insurance statement, if applicable
- written letter of approval from the lessor, if applicable
- a copy of the invoice from the installer who is registered with either NHTSA or NMEDA
- Medical documentation drafted by a certified and licensed medical professional on official letterhead that details the impairment or disability applicable to the equipment
Rules of the Mobility Assist Program from INFINITI
In order to be eligible for a reimbursement of up to $1,000, consumers must purchase a retailed vehicle within the United States after January 3, 2014. The vehicle must be sold, operated and registered only in the United States. The reimbursement cannot be used to purchase the vehicle itself. It is only for the reimbursement of certain types of mobility modifications.
Only one reimbursement for each vehicle is eligible for this offer. Only that adaptive equipment that has been deemed as medically necessary by licensed and certified medical professionals is eligible for this program. Vehicle modifications to leased vehicles should be approved by the lessor prior to any changes being made.
Only those adaptive modifications installed by a NMEDA or NHTSA installer are eligible for this offer. These vehicle modifications must fall within the parameters as stated by NHTSA exemptions. Reimbursement does not apply to INFINITI Accessories. Installation must occur within six months of purchase or lease. Documentation for reimbursement must be received within 90 days of installation. Consumers can expect to be reimbursed by INFINITI with six to ten weeks after the receipt of all required documentation.

Vehicles that are being leased through INFINITI Financial Services (IFS) have been pre-approved for the following types of adaptive equipment:
- turning automotive seating
- hand controls
- left foot accelerator
- wheelchair and/or scooter lift
Adaptive equipment that has already been paid for by medical insurance is not eligible for this offer.
